PRM Supports the California Community Golf Summit
PRM is honored to support the 2025 California Community Golf Summit, hosted by the California Golf Course Owners Association (CGCOA), as the official lunch sponsor and innovation spotlight presenter. This premier industry gathering brought together golf course owners, superintendents, architects, innovators, water agencies, and policymakers to explore sustainable golf course management, water efficiency, and community engagement strategies that will shape the future of golf in California.
The summit provided an opportunity for golf organizations, operators, architects, innovators, water authorities, and members of the public to connect with each other and align on how to navigate critical issues facing the industry today, like water conservation, soil health, and the long-term viability of California’s golf industry. PRM CEO and founder Parker Cohn presented case study results that prove sustainable practices can deliver both environmental and economic benefits.
Parker Cohn, shared the results of a pilot at Brentwood Country Club that utilized BIOS, a biologically driven soil regeneration technology, to improve conditions and provide cost savings. The pilot was overseen by Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power from 2023-2025 and validated that PRM’s soil regeneration system at Brentwood Country Club delivered:

Soil is our greatest, underutilized asset. Healthy soil contains essential microbacteria and fungal networks that are the building blocks of our terrestrial world.

The collaboration between PRM, Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has fostered a number of engagements between golf industry stakeholders, water providers, and the public.
Key Takeaways:
Based on the Pilot at Brentwood, PRM’s BIOS provides the SoCal golf community with:
- 6.6 BILLION gallons of water saved per year (or 3.3 inches of Lake Mead)
- $30 MILLION in incentive funding to implement BIOS technology
- BIOS achieves Return on Investment within the first year
PRM’s Commitment to Golf Sustainability
The collaboration between PRM, the Metropolitan Water District, and LADWP has opened doors for deeper engagement between golf course managers, water providers, and policy leaders committed to a more sustainable future for the sport.
